Beginning this afternoon, February 5, the Sphinx Organization will live-stream its fourth annual conference on diversity in the arts in Detroit, which runs through Sunday, February 7. The free live stream begins at 3pm ET with a performance by Cristina Pato (Galician bagpipes) and Nicholas Villalobos (bass). At the conference, “SphinxCon: Ignite to Action,” industry leaders will discuss solutions to challenges surrounding diversity in the performing arts sector. Presenters at the conference include Trey Devey, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; Aaron Dworkin, University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance; Mark Hanson, Houston Symphony; Paul Hogle, Detroit Symphony Orchestra; Ayanna Hudson, National Endowment for the Arts; Peter Landgren, College-Conservatory of Music (University of Cincinnati); Doug Stewart, Max M. & Marjorie S.
