Sponsored Content
Align your brand with the industry’s most-respected resource for decision-makers in the multi-million-dollar orchestral industry by investing in content marketing.
Price: $1,750 includes a sponsored article with images and a skyscraper ad.
Reserving Your Article
Sponsored content should be journalistic in nature and provide information of interest to the orchestra field. Note that the topic for the article, as well as the name(s) and contact information of the author(s), must be submitted when reserving your sponsored content.
Copy and Image Requirements
Article length is 400 to 600 words. Please provide at least one feature image that is a minimum of 1400 x 600 pixels and a skyscraper ad that is 240 x 1020 pixels.
The due date for article copy is two weeks prior to the article’s placement on Symphony.org. This allows time for editing and approval between Symphony’s editorial staff and the advertiser. Article copy must be submitted in a format that can be edited by Symphony’s editorial staff. A Word document is the preferred format. Symphony editor will discuss recommended copy changes with the advertiser/author(s) prior to final deadline to ensure the piece meets the sponsored content guidelines and edits have not changed the meaning or scope of the article.
Editorial Guidelines
Topics and story angles for sponsored content must be discussed with Symphony’s editorial staff. Symphony editorial staff reserves the right to contact authors to discuss the content being developed and to request changes to ensure that the content fits these guidelines. If the content comes across as an advertisement or gives the impression of a League endorsement, we will ask for a revision.
Sponsored content must be written from a third-person perspective and must include sources outside the advertising organization to support the advertiser’s viewpoint. Ideas and/or thoughts and solutions within the sponsored content must be presented clearly without using advertising language. Sponsored content must not imply that Symphony endorses the advertiser’s organization, or the content presented.
Sponsored articles will be marked clearly as sponsored content.
Reviews and Approvals
Symphony reserves the right to edit any material in order to maintain proper word count, grammar, tense usage, and consistency with Symphony’s editorial style. Symphony reserves the right to reject articles that are poorly written, inappropriate, conflict with the League of American Orchestras mission as an association, or otherwise do not meet Symphony’s sponsored content and editorial guidelines. No sponsored content that is misleading, deceitful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or slanders another company or person will be accepted.
Edits made by Symphony will be sent back to the advertiser for finalization of the sponsored content, which will be due no more than 5 days prior to the launch of the sponsored content.
