The Quincy Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Bruce Briney rehearse Orff’s Carmina Burana with solo vocalists, the Quincy Symphony Chorus and Youth Chorus, and local choral groups.

In Saturday’s (4/20) WGEM (Massachusetts), an article and video report, “Saturday night’s performance of ‘Carmina Burana’ at Quincy Junior High’s Morrison Theater promises to be a night to remember for music lovers. The Quincy Symphony Chorus and Youth Chorus will combine with choirs from Quincy University, Culver-Stockton College, and John Wood Community College. The sheer size of the combined choirs and unique strength of the vocal soloists will make for a unique experience. Tenor Alfonzo Cooper Junior, soprano Gina Galati and baritone Ricardo Herrera have voices that will carry easily to the back of the theater … ‘We heard them for the first time Tuesday night, and it was lovely. They do a great job so it will be exciting for everyone to hear. There will be a variety of things to listen for,’ said Quincy Symphony Chorus conductor Phyllis Robertson.”
