In Thursday’s (6/6) TAP Into Princeton (New Jersey), Richard Rein writes, “Founded in 2004, the Princeton Festival returns … for a series of opera, musical theater, dance, orchestra, and chamber music from Friday, June 7, through Saturday, June 22. The summer program of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, the Princeton Festival 2024 season begins with Grammy Award-winner and Metropolitan Opera star Angel Blue and concludes with Broadway star and Tony Award-winning actor Santino Fontana highlighting an evening of cabaret. In between are performances by talented singers, actors, and dancers. But … there’s plenty of time for informal contact between the performers and the audience, especially the young audience, who can picnic, socialize, or explore Morven’s gardens … June 7 Opening Night: Angel Blue … will perform her favorite arias with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Rossen Milanov…. June 8: The Music of Tina Turner … live concert presentation centered on the trailblazing artist’s mega hits…. June 9: Family Day featuring a free outdoor family yoga class…. Student art exhibit and kids’ activities…. Family concert with Latin-American singer/guitarist Sonia De Los Santos and her band.” Other performances include Mozart’s Così fan tutte, a Juneteenth celebration honoring Black choral music, and American Repertory Ballet with Princeton Symphony string musicians.
