The National Philharmonic, in residence at the Music Center at Strathmore (North Bethesda, Md.), has appointed LEANNE FERFOLIA president. She began her duties on June 1, succeeding KEN OLDHAM. Prior to joining the orchestra’s staff Ferfolia held executive director posts at the Abilene (Tex.) Philharmonic and the North Arkansas Symphony in Fayetteville. A trained concert pianist, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a master’s in piano performance from The Hartt School of the University of Hartford in Connecticut.
