As part of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s Music & Wellness Program, beginning this week musicians from the orchestra will provide live music during yoga sessions at the Carnegie Museum of Art with instructor Stephanie Zito. The first session is scheduled for February 23 and will feature PSO cellist Michael DeBruyn. Yoga classes will take place on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Hall of Sculpture at the Carnegie Museum of Art, with sessions also planned for March 30, April 27, and May 18. Other components of the PSO’s Music & Wellness Program include live music in the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and other medical facilities; a handbook for designing and implementing music and wellness programs; and a blog entitled Musical Living.
