Ohio’s Canton Symphony Orchestra has named MATTHEW JENKINS JAROSZEWICZ assistant conductor. In his new position, Jaroszewicz will direct three Canton Youth Symphonies concerts in 2017-18 and lead the Canton Symphony Orchestra’s educational concerts and pops series. The Canton Youth Symphonies consists of three orchestras. Jaroszewicz is conductor and artistic director of Apotheosis Opera in New York City, currently in its fourth season. He has also conducted the Buffalo Philharmonic, Mannes Opera, and Wakefield (Massachusetts) Choral Society. He holds a master of music in orchestral conducting from the Mannes College of Music and a bachelor of arts in music from Brown University.
