Bloomberg Philanthropies has launched a Digital Accelerator Program that provides funding and expertise to help non-profit cultural organizations improve their technology infrastructure. Over the course of two years, Bloomberg’s Digital Accelerator grants provide participating cultural nonprofits with financial support, technical assistance, and leadership development to strengthen their digital infrastructure with the goals of growing revenue, increasing fundraising, engaging audiences, improving operations, and developing programming. Several orchestras have participated in the program, including the Orchestra of St. Luke’s (NYC) and Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra (Pittsburgh). Organizations in the U.S. or U.K. that meet the following criteria may apply for the grant: nonprofit cultural organization; in existence for at least 3 years; FY2023 budget of at least $500,000 (U.S.) or £500,000 (U.K.). Supported projects fall into the categories of content creation and distribution; CRM/ticketing (including donor management/fundraising systems); digital archives/digital asset management, and websites. Online information sessions will be held on February 8, 2024; organizations interested in attending one of these optional sessions can register at https://digitalaccelerator.bloomberg.org/apply/. The deadline to apply is March 13, 2024 by 11:59 ET.
