The Atlantic Classical Orchestra, serving Vero Beach, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens on Florida’s east coast, has announced the appointment of DAVID AMADO as music director, effective July 1, 2016. He will retain his post as music director of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, which he has held since 2003. Amado had earlier served as assistant and associate conductor of the St. Louis Symphony and music director of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. He holds a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from Indiana University and a bachelor’s in piano performance from the Juilliard School.
