The Oklahoma City Philharmonic has named David Hyslop interim executive director. Hyslop is an orchestra industry veteran and former CEO of the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, and Oregon Symphony. Since 2004, Hyslop has consulted arts organizations around the country, specializing in strategic planning, fundraising, executive coaching, and endowment and capital campaigns. Hyslop’s previous interim positions include the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, and West Virginia Symphony. Hyslop has served on the boards of many organizations, including the League of American Orchestras. At the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Hyslop succeeds Agnieszka Rakhmatullaev, who was the executive director for three and a half years before stepping down in November to become senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
