Dolly Parton’s songs will be featured in a new show for orchestras.

In Tuesday’s (5/21) WSMV (Nashville), Danica Sauter reports, “Dolly Parton announced a new concert project called ‘Threads: My Songs in Symphony.’ The orchestra concert will premiere with the Nashville Symphony on March 20, 2025, before touring worldwide. The evening will be filled with Dolly’s songs and the stories behind them. Dolly’s hit songs will be arranged for orchestra, by David Hamilton, for the multimedia symphonic experience. Guest vocalists and musicians will also accompany the orchestra. Dolly will be featured on-screen leading audiences on a journey of her songs, life, and stories. The concert will feature Dolly’s hit songs throughout her career, including ‘Jolene,’ ‘Coat of Many Colors,’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’ as well as some of Dolly’s personal favorites. Threads: My Songs in Symphony was co-produced by Dolly Parton with Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing. In a statement, Dolly said, ‘I’m just so excited to share my songs and the stories behind them in this beautiful new way. “Threads: My Songs in Symphony” is like a journey through the heartstrings of my life. I hope we can take it far and wide to symphony orchestras everywhere!’ ”
