Missouri’s Springfield Symphony Goes Full FOMO for 2023-24

In Friday’s (7/14) Springfield Daily Citizen (Missouri), Jeff Kessinger writes, “Opening night for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra’s 2023-2024 season is still two months away, but you won’t have to wait until September to get your fix. Springfield’s most talented classical musicians will take the stage with the legendary Ozark Mountain Daredevils at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in Branson. It’s the second consecutive year the Springfield Symphony Orchestra has teamed up with the Daredevils…. Audience members can expect to hear some of the Daredevils’ classics … with a full-orchestra twist…. Jennifer Cotner-Jones, executive director for the symphony, said … ‘The evening will have a vastly different feel than a lot of what we play during our season, so it is a fun opportunity for not only our audiences but our musicians as well.’… The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 89th season Sept. 16 at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
