Alabama’s Montgomery Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Jamie Reeves give an outdoor concert.

The article states: “The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2024-2025 season. Conductor Jamie Reeves continues his focus on American composers this season, offering the world premiere of a work by Alabama composer, J. R. Speake. This season includes a number of impressive guest artists. Violinist Geneva Lewis will join the symphony in a concert of music by Johann Strauss on Sept. 23, and flautist Stephen Clarke, recipient of the Sir James Galloway Rising Star Award, will be in Montgomery on Oct. 28. Upcoming concerts include Gershwin’s ‘An American in Paris’ and Stravinsky’s ‘Firebird’ Suite. The MSO is also bringing back its popular movie concerts where the symphony plays the soundtrack as the audience watches the film. ‘Home Alone’ with its popular John Williams score will be featured Nov. 22. This year’s Holiday Pops Concert, scheduled for Dec. 19, will feature ‘America’s Got Talent’ finalist Jimmie Herrod.”
