The Charles Ives Society has added a searchable discography to its website, containing more than 3,000 entries devoted to recordings of the composer’s works. Following the 1972 publication of Richard Warren’s Ives biography, Warren and staff of the Yale Collection of Historical Sound Recordings continued documenting newly released recordings of Ives’s music. Kevin Sherwin completed compiling the discography to include recordings until 2019, and Nicholas Brewer edited and facilitated its online publication and search functions. For each composition, the discography lists recordings in chronological order. A table of contents is arranged in five sections: orchestra music, chamber music, keyboard music, choral music, and songs.
