On July 28, 2019, California’s Santa Rosa Symphony will give a free “Four Seasons of Sonoma County” concert at the Green Music Center to celebrate the beauty of Sonoma County through the eyes of its residents. Photographs by area residents of Sonoma Country landscapes, selected by the Museum of Sonoma Country, will be displayed on digital screens during the orchestra’s performance of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons at the concert. Local photographers are encouraged to submit a diverse range of images to represent all four seasons. Images must have been taken in Sonoma County, and must depict landscape, nature, or wildlife. Photographs will be selected by a panel of jurors and will be chosen based on creativity, quality, originality, relevance to the theme/season, and overall impact. The jurors are Jeff Nathanson, curator of art and executive director, Museum of Sonoma County; Michael Schwager, professor of art history/gallery director, Sonoma State University; and Neil Silverman, a professional photographer. The deadline for entries is May 3, 2019 at 5:00 pm PDT. Learn more and submit photos at https://museumsc.org/photo-contest/.
