In Monday’s (8/28) WTOV (Ohio and West Virginia), Gianna Dapra reports, “The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra will return to Oglebay Park for Music Under the Stars, the annual Labor Day concert. The performance is named ‘Shaken, Not Stirred: The Music of James Bond’ as the orchestra will feature the iconic songs, transporting you back through the Bond eras. And if you’re interested in more than the free concert, you can attend the Veranda reception before the event with a purchased ticket. ‘One of the things that we love to celebrate is great music from our recent past that people will recognize,’ said John Devlin, music director, WSO. ‘Of course, in the Capital Theatre we do that, but also, we want to bring it to the community and Oglebay Park is a great place to do that. So, we said what would be a celebration or a party to start our season. Nothing says celebration more than James Bond, his martinis, his jackets, and celebratory attitude.’ … The free concert starts at 7:30 on Sunday, Sept. 3.”
