Emily Fritz-Endres becomes executive director of New York’s Albany Symphony this August.

Emily Fritz-Endres has joined New York’s Albany Symphony as executive director. She will become executive director in August 2024, succeeding Interim Executive Director David Hyslop, who started in January of this year after former ED Anna Kuwabara stepped down. Fritz-Endres previously worked at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where she focused on financial and facilities planning, and worked on community engagement, artistic aims, venue solutions, audience development, and an endowment campaign. At the Boston Symphony Orchestra, she was director of board administration, cultivating relationships with the orchestra’s 250 trustees and advisors. She organized projects including the opening of the Linde Center for Music and Learning at Tanglewood, two fundraising campaigns, and a governance restructuring. Emily Fritz-Endres earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and a BA from Carleton College in Minnesota.
