The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, on the eastern end of Long Island, New York, has announced twelve concerts for its 31st season, which will run from July 30 to August 24. Highlights include a free outdoor concert of Russian favorites on July 30; the August 10 world premiere of A Palace Upon the Ruins for mezzo soprano, flute, cello, piano, harp and percussion, a BCMF co-commissioned work by film composer Howard Shore; and “Late Night at the Parrish,” a partnership with the Parrish Art Museum (Water Mill, N.Y.) on August 9 at the museum’s Lichtenstein Theater, featuring the string quartet Brooklyn Rider in a program that includes the premiere of a new work by Gabriel Kahane.
