“The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is honoring Miguel Harth-Bedoya’s 15 years at the helm during its entire artistic season, which begins this month, under the banner ‘Miguel and the FWSO: A Musical Journey,’ ” writes Andrew Marton in Wednesday’s (9/3) Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Each program will include one of his favorite masterworks, and the orchestra will perform 15 compositions it has not performed since Harth-Bedoya began as music director…. But what may be less appreciated about Harth-Bedoya is … his sense of balance between his personal and professional lives,” raising three children with his wife, Maritza Caceres, a doctoral candidate in choral conducting at Texas Christian University. “He is particularly pumped about [the orchestra’s] 2016’s landmark tour of Spain and a new partnership with recent Van Cliburn International Piano Competition gold medalist Vadym Kholodenko…. But at the center of his thoughts about the future are, of course, his children…. ‘Over the next five to 10 years, I plan on pacing myself. It will be this way until all my kids are out of school. Because, I realize more than anyone, that 15 years can go by so fast.’ ”
