The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has announced that DANA NEWMAN has been named president of the Board of Directors. She succeeds GENE SHUTLER, who assumes the title of chairman of the board after completing a three-year term as president. Newman is a partner at the Los Angeles law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP, with a practice in tax, partnership, real estate, and tax-exempt finance law. A Los Angeles native, she is a graduate of Yale University with a master’s degree in tax policy from the University of New Haven and a JD from the University of California-Berkeley.
