The Colburn School in Los Angeles has announced the appointment of Italian concert pianist FABIO BIDINI as professor of piano and the first holder of its Carol Grigor Piano Chair. The chair was recently established through a $5 million gift from Carol Grigor, chairman of the Colburn School’s board of directors and a board member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Bidini will begin teaching at Colburn’s Conservatory of Music during the 2015-16 season. In addition to his international career as a performer and recording artist, he has served as professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
