The Talcott Mountain Music Festival, summer home of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, will mark its 20th summer this season at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows in Simsbury, Connecticut. The first of five programs, on June 26, will feature the Mambo Kings in Latin jazz music by Astor Piazzolla, Tito Puente, Dave Brubeck, and others. On July 10, Hartford Symphony Orchestra Music Director Carolyn Kuan will conduct a concert of highlights from the past 20 years, including classical selections as well as film soundtracks and Broadway numbers. Three other programs will feature patriotic selections and music of the Americas, with fireworks (July 3), disco music from the 1970s (July 17), and music of the pop/rock group Queen (July 24).
