The League of American Orchestras has announced a fourth round of Getty Education and Community Investment Grants to help stimulate growth and excellence in orchestras’ education and community engagement programming. With funding from the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation, these one-year grants, ranging from $10,000 to $30,000, will be awarded to orchestras for activities in fiscal year 2016. This is a new funding cycle; all orchestras meeting the guidelines are encouraged to apply.

The Getty Grants will invest in orchestras’:

•    planning, developing, and implementing innovative new initiatives that strengthen community ties and respond to community needs (funds are not available for planning alone) or
•    strengthening exemplary programs with a demonstrated track record of success.

Please review the application guidelines and then complete the online letter of inquiry application by August 11, 2015. Find here descriptions of programs that received support in the last round of grants.
