VANESSA ROSE has been named executive director of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), a New York-based organization consisting of 34 instrumentalists who perform in configurations ranging from solos to large ensembles. She begins her new position September 1. Rose has served as director of development at New York’s Lark Play Development Center; as managing director of The Knights, a New York-based orchestra collective; and as associate director of patron program and membership at the Metropolitan Opera. A professional violinist who has performed with such organizations as the New Jersey and Harrisburg symphony orchestras and Spoleto Festivals (Italy and USA), Rose received her musical training from Eastman School of Music, Mannes College the New School for Music, and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She is a 2006 alumna of the League of American Orchestras’ Orchestra Management Fellowship Program.
