From April 8 to 17, New York classical radio station WQXR is accepting donations of “gently used” musical instruments, to be donated to under-resourced music and arts programs in public schools in New York City and Newark, New Jersey. Dropoff locations have been set up in the five New York City boroughs as well as in Edison, Paramus, and Springfield, New Jersey. It is the third annual instrument drive conducted by WQXR; the first, in 2014, netted 2,940 donated instruments. Public schools may register to receive instruments here.
