The Venice (Fla.) Symphony has appointed CHRISTINE KASTEN executive director. She had held that post on an interim basis since May 2016, and she served as the orchestra’s sales and marketing director from January 2014 to March 2015. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Kasten spent seven years as senior sales representative for Bayer Corporation in St. Louis, has worked in international marketing and business management, and is the former executive director of Florida’s Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy (SMART). She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southern Illinois University.
