MEREDITH SNOW, a violist in the Los Angeles Philharmonic, has been elected chairperson of the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians. She succeeds BRUCE RIDGE, who had held the post since 2006. Before joining the LA Phil in 1986 Snow spent three years with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. Also a former member of the Colorado String Quartet, she is a native of Long Island, New York, and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School.
