JOEL REVZEN’s contract as artistic director and conductor of Nevada’s Classical Tahoe Orchestra has been extended through 2021. Revzen has been the orchestra’s artistic head since its founding in 2012. Revzen leads symphony and opera performances throughout North America and Europe, and has released recordings with the London Symphony Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Moscow Symphony, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and soprano Arleen Auger. Revzen has been an assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera for thirteen years, and made his debut there in 2017 conducting Eugene Onegin. Classical Tahoe Orchestra is comprised of musicians invited from the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles and New York philharmonics, Cleveland Orchestra, the symphonies of San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Toronto, Vancouver, and other ensembles. The 2018 Classical Tahoe Festival runs from July 27 to August 12, with performances in Incline Village, NV.
