Joseph Conyers, assistant principal bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra, will give a free lecture, “The Future of Music and Music Education,” at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. Conyers is also music director of the School District of Philadelphia’s All City Orchestra and executive director of Project 440, a Philadelphia nonprofit that trains young musicians to serve their communities through classical music and provides industry-specific mentoring and training programs for young musicians.
