On January 13, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians will perform a chamber music concert at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, including works by contemporary African American composers Jessie Montgomery, Evan Williams, and Courtney Bryan. Curated by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Composer-in-Residence Jonathan Bailey Holland, the 3 p.m. concert is free with museum admission. The concert will also feature teenage music students from the CSO’s Nouveau Chamber Players, designed to boost participation in classical music by historically underrepresented students through chamber music coaching supplemented with instruction from CSO musicians.
