The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s sixth annual #OrchestraYou event will take place on March 23 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. For the event, held after the orchestra’s concert of Dvořák, Schubert, and Schumann, amateur instrumentalists are invited to join fellow audience members and NJSO musicians in the Prudential Hall lobby to rehearse and perform Dvořák’s Slavonic Dance No. 1, Op. 46, led by NJSO Youth Orchestras Artistic Director José Luis Domínguez. Anyone who plays a standard orchestral instrument may participate; the event is free but performers must hold or purchase a ticket to the concert and bring their own instrument. More information is available here.
