Musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will give a free concert at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock on April 3. Music Director Philip Mann will conduct the performance in the UAMS Hospital Lobby Gallery, which is open to the public and is part of the ongoing Dr. Ruth Marie Allen Concert Series at UAMS. Performers will include harpist Alisa Coffey, flutist Carolyn Brown, violinist Katherine Williamson, and cellist David Gerstein, in a program of Astor Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, Haydn’s Trio in D Major (Hob. XV No. 16 for Harp, Flute, and Cello), and Jacques Ibert’s Trio for Harp, Violin, and Cello. The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s main performance venue is the Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock; it also performs at locations throughout central Arkansas and operates a music education program.
