The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has appointed THERESA A. CAMERON as vice president for BSO at Strathmore, effective June 10, 2019. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is a founding partner of the Music Center at Strathmore. Strathmore is a nonprofit arts center and presenter in North Bethesda, Maryland. Cameron is the founding executive director of Van Ness Main Street, a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. focused on community development. She previously held positions at Americans for the Arts and was chief executive officer of the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County for over a decade. In that role, Cameron managed the merger of the Arts Council of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Humanities Commission, oversaw a $4 million grants budget, secured state funding, and planned programs and events. As vice president for BSO at Strathmore, she will act as the BSO’s primary representative, expand the annual giving program, and build relationships with local government and community organizations.
