The Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy is currently accepting applications from U.S.-based orchestras and ensembles for its 2019 WPA Performance Grants. The grants, available to professional, community, and student orchestras, can be used to support performances of works by historic and contemporary women composers. Grants range in amounts from $500 to $1,000 (total available funding is $20,000), and funds can be used for performances in calendar years 2020 or 2021. WPA was founded in 2008, to carry on the legacy of the Women’s Philharmonic (1981-2004) and to encourage orchestras to include more music composed by women in their programming. The Performance Grants have been offered annually since 2014.

The deadline to apply for this round of Performance Grants is October 25; applicants will be notified of their status by November 29. Find out more about the Performance Grants and how to apply here.
