Florida’s Venice Symphony has named ASHLEY LIGHT director of development. She will oversee the orchestra’s fundraising efforts, planned giving programs, and donor cultivation and stewardship. Light most recently served as development director at Mental Health Community Centers, Inc. in Sarasota, Florida. She is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southwest Florida Chapter and is the association’s communications chair. Light also serves as vice president of community with the Junior League of Sarasota, where she oversees the committees that give back to the community. She is involved with Sarasota Young Professionals and was recognized as a Young Professional of the Year Finalist for 2018. Light received her bachelor of arts degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
