Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra in Nebraska has appointed TYLER G. WHITE as its inaugural composer-in-residence, to serve from 2019 to 2022. The LSO will perform music written by and recommended by White, and he will interact with audiences, musicians, and collaborators; provide masterclasses for young composers; and compose new music to be premiered by the LSO. White was the LSO’s resident conductor from 2000 to 2019 and is a professor of composition and conducting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
