CINDY ORNSTEIN has been named executive director of the Mesa (Ariz.) Arts Center and director of the City of Mesa Arts and Culture Department, effective in early July. In this capacity she will serve as the city’s principal advocate and spokesperson for arts and culture and will oversee the Arizona Museum of Natural History and Arizona Museum for Youth, as well as the Mesa Arts Center’s four theaters, fourteen studios, and five art galleries. Ornstein is currently president and CEO of the Flint (Mich.) Cultural Center Corporation, where she has served for the past ten years.
