The Wenatchee Valley Symphony in central Washington State has announced the appointment of Dr. NIKOLAS CAOILE as music director and conductor. He also serves as director of orchestral activities at Central Washington University, and has been a featured presenter for the Seattle Symphony’s Talk Music Series. Caoile’s guest conducting engagements have included the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas; the Yakima, Gig Harbor, and Olympia symphony orchestras in Washington State; Oregon’s Salem Symphony Orchestra; the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto; and France’s Institut Musical de Provence. Also an accomplished pianist, Caoile is on the faculty of Central Washington University’s Kairos Chamber Music Lyceum, and has served on the staff of Aspen Opera Theater, Seattle Opera, and the Bel Canto Vocal Institute in Portland, Oregon.
