SUZANNE WILSON has been named chief of staff at Boston’s New England Conservatory, effective September 7. She worked most recently in the Massachusetts Department of Conservation, where for the past three years she was director of the department’s Office of External Affairs and Partnerships. She had previously spent twelve years with the Celebrity Series of Boston, initially as a subscription coordinator and ultimately as vice president of education and community relations. Wilson is only the second person to serve as chief of staff at NEC, which created the post in 2008. Her duties include overseeing the office of President Tony Woodcock, working closely with NEC Board Chair Stephen Friedlaender and the management team, and facilitating the work of NEC’s Board of Trustees and Board of Overseers.
