A report Thursday (12/9) on BusinessNorth.com (Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin) states, “Andrew Berryhill will leave his position as executive director of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra effective April 1. ‘While such a transition never happens at an ideal time for an organization, the DSSO is today musically and financially stronger than it has ever been, and the time is right for me and my family to make this change,’ he said in a Wednesday news release. ‘Approximately ten years ago I asked my wife to sell her business and move to Duluth. I now have an opportunity to return that favor and support her dream of furthering her professional education at the highest level.’ Berryhill took the DSSO to a new level of prominence in the community, said Mary Ann Ulishney, board president. ‘His vast experience, community involvement and professional expertise will be missed greatly by the DSSO and the greater Duluth-Superior community,’ she said. Berryhill joined the DSSO in the spring of 2002, coming from the staff of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.”
