Beginning in February, the League will be offering a series of six monthly, 90-minute discussions via telephone designed specifically for new volunteer presidents and president-elects.

This Mentoring Circle is a unique opportunity to connect with other orchestra volunteer presidents and presidents-elects who have the same questions and are facing similar situations as you. Facilitated by Heather Moore, past president, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and president, Volunteer Council, League of American Orchestras, this guided peer-to-peer learning offers networking, sharing, and personal insight from an experienced volunteer president. The sessions will also include guest experts on various topics.

Here’s what a past participant says about their Mentoring Circle: “The size of the Mentoring Circle makes it easy for everyone to participate in the discussions, yet still learn from others and their experiences…the scope of topics covered was amazing. Topics were timely, useful, and covered a broad range of issues. I wouldn’t change anything.”
