South Carolina’s Charleston Symphony Orchestra has appointed ALANA MORRALL director of development and NICOLE WARD director of marketing. Morrall, the CSO’s first full-time development director in recent history, comes to the orchestra from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, where she was director of individual and institutional giving. She had previously held positions at the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Symphony, Washington Concert Opera, and American University Symphony Orchestra. Morrall holds a master’s degree in arts management from American University and a bachelor’s in music from Wake Forest University. Ward served most recently as manager of patron engagement at the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Prior to the MSO she worked in guest services at the Soulsville Foundation’s Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Memphis.
