The Hartford (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of ANDREA STALF as president and chief executive officer, effective October 24.  She succeeds KRISTEN PHILLIPS, who left the orchestra last May and is now senior vice president of Lincoln Financial Group. Stalf brings to the HSO 22 years of experience in corporate marketing and general management, including senior positions with Fortune 500 companies in insurance, telecommunications, and consumer products. She has resided in the Hartford area since 2007, when she became vice president and chief marketing officer for the personal lines business of Travelers Insurance. A lifelong music lover and concertgoer, Stalf holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois, a master’s in environmental engineering from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA in marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
