DENNIS MALFATTI will step down as conductor of the Evansville (Ind.) Philharmonic Chorus on April 29, 2012, following four years in that post. In announcing his resignation he cited a need to “focus all of my energy on presiding over the rapidly expanding distinction of University of Evansville’s choral program and also on building up the newly formed Evansville Bach Singers.” The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will begin a search for his successor this summer.
