Alabama’s Mobile Symphony Orchestra has appointed DIANA BREWER acting chief executive officer. Her appointment follows the recent departure of GREGG GUSTAFSON, who had served as chief executive officer for two years. Brewer first joined the Mobile Symphony’s staff in February 2012 as director of marketing. Prior to that she had worked in the Mobile area as executive director of the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation and, for fifteen years prior to that, in marketing and public relations posts at Thomas Hospital. A native of Mobile and a graduate of the University of South Alabama, Brewer resides in the suburban city of Fairhope and holds a seat on the Fairhope City Council.
