ELIZABETH HURLEY has been named vice president for development and public affairs at The Juilliard School.  She goes to Juilliard from the Art Institute of Chicago, where she had served as vice president for museum development since 2010. Prior to that Hurley was executive director of Chicago’s Grant Park Music Festival. From 2006 to 2009 she was director of development at The Metropolitan Opera, and before that spent fifteen years at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, including five years (2000-2005) as its vice president for development. Hurley holds a master’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s in English from Rhodes College in Memphis.
