The Winston-Salem (NC) Symphony has appointed JESSICA MUNCH-DITTMAR as its first full-time education and community engagement director, effective August 5. She goes to Winston-Salem from Savannah, Ga., where she served as volunteer and program coordinator for the Creative and Performing Arts Program at the Salvation Army and maintained a private teaching studio in orchestral and band instruments. She had previously held teaching and administrative jobs in New York, in various South Carolina school systems, and at the University of South Carolina. Munch-Dittmar holds a Master of Arts Administration degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a bachelor’s in music education from the University of South Carolina.
