Three additions to the full-time playing roster have been announced by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra: STUART STEPHENSON, principal trumpet; CHRISTOPHER TODD SKITCH, second flute; and ANASTASIA AGAPOVA, section first violin.

Stuart Stephenson, principal trumpet, has performed at Aspen Music Festival and School, Tanglewood Music Center, and Germany’s Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. An active music educator, he has maintained a private trumpet studio and served as a coach for Midwest Young Artists. Stephenson holds a bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School and a master’s from Northwestern University.

Christopher Todd Skitch, second flute, has performed with such organizations as IRIS Orchestra (Germantown, Tenn.);, Bellingham (Wash.) Festival of Music; Memphis Chamber Music Society; Tanglewood Music Center; Blossom Music Festival; Spoleto Festival USA; the National Repertory Orchestra (Breckenridge, Colo.); and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, where he began his career in 1997. A native of Canada, Skitch holds degrees from the University of Toronto and Montreal’s McGill University.

Anastasia Agapova, section first violin, has appeared as soloist with orchestras in Russia, Germany, England, Ireland, France, Finland, and Lithuania. Her awards include a Jury Prize at the 2006 David Oistrakh International Violin Competition and Second Prize in the 2004 International Competition for Young Violinists. A native of Russia, she came to the U.S. in 2005 to study with Sergiu Schwartz. Agapova continued her studies at Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music and at the Curtis Institute of Music, from which she graduated in 2013.
