ERIC MARSHALL has been named executive director of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Marshall goes to the Louisiana-based orchestra after working at the Austin Symphony in Texas for more than nine years, and had previously worked at the Erie (PA) Philharmonic. Marshall’s experience in the orchestra field includes fundraising, audience and community engagement, technology implementation, and marketing. Originally from Erie, Marshall received a bachelor of music in vocal performance from Mercyhurst University. Timothy Muffitt is music director of the Baton Rouge Symphony. Marshall will begin work in Baton Rouge on May 1, 2019.
