The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of PETER CZORNYJ as director of artistic planning, effective later this season. He is currently director of artistic planning at Australia’s Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining that orchestra in 2008 Czornyj held posts as artistic administrator at the Cleveland Orchestra and as vice president for artistic administration at the St. Louis Symphony. From 1992 to 1998 he was director of Deutsche Grammophon’s early-music label Archiv Produktion.
